Farense drew 1-1 against Chaves, in a game from the 20th round of the I Football League, played this Sunday, February 4th, in the city of Flaviense. The Algarve played much of the match with numerical superiority, but were unable to win.
In a game that brought together the two poles of Estrada Nacional 2, Chaves was reduced to 10 players after 17 minutes due to the expulsion of Ygor Nogueira.
Farense took advantage and pressed on for much of the first half, reaching the goal in the 35th minute. Bruno Duarte took advantage of a somewhat confusing move to shoot into the back of the net.
In the second half, the Algarve team were unable to hold on to the result and conceded a draw in the 53rd minute. Ricardo Velho scored a penalty that Héctor converted.
Farense had opportunities to score, essentially through Zé Luís, but sometimes the bar, sometimes the Chaves goalkeeper prevented José Mota's team from leaving the North with the three points.
The Algarve team now has 25 points and is in 7th place.
