42 detained and 390 traffic violations detected last week in the Algarve

Between January 29th and February 4th

The GNR detained 42 people and detected 390 traffic violations in the Algarve, between the 29th of January and the 4th of February. 

The results of the weekly operational activity were released this Monday, February 5th, and reveal that the arrests include ten for driving without a legal license, nine for driving under the influence of alcohol and four for drug trafficking. 

On that date, 47 doses of hashish and a knife were seized.

Of the infractions detected, 189 were due to speeding, 24 related to anomalies in lighting and signaling systems, 19 due to lack of mandatory periodic inspection, 15 due to improper use of a cell phone while driving, eight due to lack of civil liability insurance. and four for lack of or incorrect use of a seat belt and/or child restraint system.

Between January 29th and February 4th, 101 accidents were also recorded, resulting in four serious injuries and 22 minor injuries.
