220 infractions detected and 109 accidents recorded in the last week in the Algarve

There were also 109 accidents, resulting in 16 minor injuries and one serious injury.

220 infractions detected, 109 accidents recorded and 31 arrested were the results of the series of operations carried out in the Algarve, in the week of 12th to 18th February, which aimed to prevent and combat violent crime, road inspection, among others. 

Of the 31 arrests, 10 were for driving under the influence of alcohol, five for driving without a license and four for drug trafficking.

Added to this was the seizure of 83 doses of heroin, 36 doses of cocaine, a shotgun, a pistol, a compressed air pistol, a revolver, 15 rounds of ammunition, 3985 euros, various items of clothing and suitcases.

In traffic, 220 infractions were recorded: 116 for speeding, 17 for lack of mandatory periodic inspection, nine related to anomalies in lighting and signaling systems, eight for lack of civil liability insurance and three for lack of or incorrect use of seat belts. safety and/or child restraint system.
