The Chouriças Festival in Honor of São Luís is back in Querença, on the 20th and 21st of January, with lots of entertainment and food.
As usual, the party, promoted by the Parish Festival Committee and the Union of Parishes of Querença, Tôr and Benafim, with the support of the Loulé City Council and the Casa do Povo de Querença, starts on Saturday, the 20th, with fado night at Casa do Povo. This year, artists Sara Paixão and César Matoso will take the stage, starting at 21pm.
On Sunday, 21st, roasted sausages are the queens of the party, and can be tasted in the various establishments in the parish of Querença and in Largo da Igreja, from 11 am.
On that day, from 10:00 am to 18:00 pm, there will also be a grocery store with an exhibition and sale of crafts and local products, representative of the region.
From 11:00 am to 14:00 pm the street entertainment is carried out by the Alfanfare group and from 11:00 am to 17:00 pm there are Palhaça Pirolita games.
Also at 14 pm it is possible to watch the performance of the Grupo de Charolas das Barreiras Brancas.
The religious celebration will begin at 14:30 pm, with the Solemn Mass, presided over by Canon Carlos Aquino, followed by the procession with the image of Saint Louis, accompanied by the Artistas de Minerva Philharmonic Band.
The sausage auction is scheduled for 16pm, followed by street entertainment until 00pm with the couple Ti Gregório and Tia Marquinhas.
From 19pm the dance continues in the Party Room of Casa do Povo de Querença, hosted by the artist Rúben Filipe.
