Silves City Council redeveloped the accesses to the town of Monte dos Jaimes and the Urbanização das Fontainhas, in São Bartolomeu de Messines, in an investment that amounted to 248 thousand euros.
«The contract involved the expansion and rehabilitation of the water supply network, the extension of the domestic sewage network to Monte dos Jaimes, the rainwater network, widening of roads, paving, sidewalks and public lighting», according to the Municipality of Silves.
The municipality emphasizes that the intervention is part of «the strategy of requalifying urban space throughout the municipality, raising the levels of well-being of residents, improving accessibility, mobility and the quality of the public service provided».
