São Brás de Alportel continues to support families with “Vale + Natalidade”

In 2023, Vale + Natalidade reached 65 children from São Paulo

The São Brás de Alportel City Council will continue, this year, with the “Vale + Natalidade” measure, which gives 150 euros to each family that has a baby.

In 2023, Vale + Natalidade reached 65 children from São Paulo.

Launched by the municipality in 2016, this measure consisted of granting financial support of 100,00 euros (through a set of vouchers) to families of children born or adopted and registered in São Brás de Alportel each year.

In 2023, given the national and international context of economic crisis and political and military instability that created difficulties for many families, the municipal executive decided to increase the value of the Vale + Natalidade to 150 euros, an amount that will remain this year.

Each family receives three vouchers worth 50 euros that can be used, together or individually, in local businesses to purchase goods and/or services relevant to the development of children, namely: health and hygiene items, furniture, equipment, medicines with medical prescription, childcare, clothing and footwear.

Families with newborns registered as being born in the municipality of São Brás de Alportel or who adopt children up to 12 years old can access this measure.

The “Vale +” Family Support Plan also includes the allocation of Vale + Educação which aims to support the acquisition of school materials at the beginning of the school year; Vale + Saúde, which initially focuses on visual acuity screening for children, and also the “+ family” training program, which covers a variety of themes and challenges facing families, in their various stages.

To access the Vale + Natalidade, families must go to the Support Office for the Presidency of the City Council, in the Paços do Concelho Building, on Rua Gago Coutinho, and present proof of residence and registration of the child in São Brás de Alportel. Vouchers must be collected by the end of this year.
