New generation Mobile Network Station in Alta Mora is already operating

Coverage reaches the populations of Alta Mora, Corte Pequena, Magoito and Corujos

The new generation Mobile Network Station was installed in the town of Alta Mora, in Castro Marim, in December last year, and is now operational.

Located next to the water deposit, this new infrastructure provides mobile network coverage to the populations of Alta Mora, Corte Pequena, Magoito and Corujos, shortening distances and, according to the Municipality of Castro Marim, making it easier to get around «a contribution to the strategy to combat depopulation in the interior».

The mobile network station will also “promote the improvement of the living conditions of the resident population, acting as an attractive factor for new residents and as a lever for the local economy, particularly with some accommodation and rural tourism projects that have grown within the municipality Castromarinense».

At the same time, the village is witnessing the affirmation of the Almond Blossom Festival, which takes place between the 2nd and 4th of February, and which this year will already be served by this infrastructure.

In a note, the Municipality explains that the development of the municipality's interior has been «one of the flags in recent years», with an investment in better living conditions, home water and sewage supply and other projects to combat isolation.
