Alcoutim Chamber and Volunteer Firefighters renew collaboration protocol

Local authority undertakes to allocate a monthly contribution of 20 thousand euros

Alcoutim City Council and the Volunteer Firefighters renewed a year-round collaboration protocol that establishes “mutual obligations”.

The municipality undertakes to allocate a monthly contribution of 20 thousand euros, support insurance premiums and provide employees to collaborate in the activities of the Volunteer Firefighters.

In turn, Volunteer Firefighters undertake to maintain facilities, promote training, ensure firefighting actions and other duties defined in legislation.

«The dedication and courage demonstrated by our firefighters are an essential pillar for the safety and well-being of our community. This protocol reinforces our commitment to recognizing and supporting the remarkable service they provide, safeguarding lives and heritage and strengthening the territory's resilience», says Osvaldo Gonçalves, president of Alcoutim City Council.
