APAL – Albufeira Promotion Agency already has a new image

APAL «now has a more current and dynamic corporate image, at the same time as it invests in a new logo for the Visit Albufeira brand»

APAL – Albufeira Promotion Agency already has a new image, which was presented at a meeting that took place on Thursday, January 18, in the auditorium of AHETA – Association of Hotels and Tourist Enterprises of the Algarve.

The event served to mark the first anniversary of the mandate of the current social bodies and to announce some of the initiatives scheduled for 2024, marking the 20th anniversary of this Association.

Around a hundred guests attended the presentation, including members of social bodies, associates, entities and partners.

About to celebrate two decades of existence, the creation of APAL's new image «involved the reorganization of the various logos used by the Association, in its institutional and promotional communication».

In this way, APAL «now has a more current and dynamic corporate image, at the same time as it invests in a new Visit Albufeira brand logo, which will be the basis for structuring all promotional communication used at fairs, workshops and other tourist events» .

Both images were developed by the company Malha – Comunicação.

Desidério Silva, president of the APAL Board, took advantage of this meeting to launch some of the actions prepared for this year, with emphasis on the organization of Albufeira Day, in Seville, and participation in the BTL – Lisbon Tourism Exchange, both scheduled for February and March.

Throughout 2024, there are several initiatives foreseen in the Activity Plan, approved in December, including the holding of several workshops aimed at important markets such as the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Spain and the United States of America, the latter in following the announced opening of direct flights to the Algarve.

It is also planned to return to Paris to participate in IFTM Top Resa – Paris. In addition to in-person actions, investment in several campaigns aimed at strengthening Albufeira's presence on digital channels was mentioned.

In addition to a new promotional website, which will be released soon, and new promotional and merchandising, Desidério Silva announced the holding, in April, of a major event to celebrate APAL's 20th anniversary, which will include a conference, an exhibition of members and an official dinner.

The leader took the opportunity to take stock of this first year in office, noting that APAL currently has 220 members, making it the largest business association in the municipality of Albufeira.

Desidério Silva considers that APAL must foster a continuous relationship with associates and partners, placing itself at the service of Albufeira, in promoting its economy, but also in reflecting on the issues that mark the sector today, such as sustainability and respect by the environment.

The presentation also featured interventions by Hélder Martins, president of AHETA, and José Carlos Rolo, president of Albufeira City Council.

Hélder Martins, in addition to highlighting the importance of joint work between AHETA and APAL in favor of the sector, took the opportunity to address the issues of water management and the lack of human resources.

José Carlos Rolo corroborated these two issues and highlighted some of the municipality's differentiating projects, including the Algarvensis Geopark's candidacy for UNESCO and the underwater exhibition by the artist Vhils, which can now be visited.

Created in 2004, APAL has established itself as an active and dynamic partner serving the promotion of Albufeira and its economic activity.
