The 2nd Scientific Meeting – Nursing for All will take place on the 26th of January, in the Auditorium of the Portimão Museum.
The initiative is organized by students in the 3rd year of the Nursing Studies cycle, at the Escola Superior de Saúde Jean Piaget do Algarve, in Silves.
The theme covered this year will be “Medical-Surgical Nursing: Sharing in the Present… To Build the Future” and its purpose is to share knowledge based on scientific evidence within the scope of the Nursing discipline, the continuous improvement of Nursing care provided to the community, as well as improving the training of future nurses and promoting health literacy in the surrounding community.
The meeting will have two components: the first, dedicated to providing a day full of learning through a dynamic of pre-congress workshops, focusing on very current themes in the Nursing Practice, will be held on the 25th of January, at the Piaget facilities , with four workshops in the morning and many more in the afternoon.
The second component will be the Congress at the Municipal Museum of Portimão on the 26th and the program includes the participation of health professionals in the area of Medical-Surgical Nursing and Specialties who will contribute to sharing knowledge and building new knowledge about the themes proposed for the event.
The opening session will be attended by Teresa Mendes, councilor of the Portimão Chamber, and Rosa Palma, president of the Silves Chamber.
Present at the closing session will be Sérgio Branco, president of the Southern Regional Section (SRSul) of the Order of Nurses, Paulo Morgado, president of ARS Algarve, Paulo Silva, director of the HPA Saúde Group, Clementina Nogueira, president of Campus and director of the School Superior of Education at the Piaget Institute of Almada and Mariana Santos, nurse director of CHUA.
