Flight from London to Lisbon lands in emergency Faro

There were 202 people on board, but none required assistance

A Ryanair plane, which was connecting from London to Lisbon, had to make an emergency landing this Wednesday, December 20th, at Lisbon Airport. Faro. 

The plane departed the English capital at 9:25 am and landed in Faro around 12:00.

Contacted by Sul Informação, A source from the Algarve Regional Emergency and Civil Protection Command said that the plane “had a failure during the flight” and had to be diverted to Faro.

There were 202 people on board, but none needed assistance.

the airport of Faro went on red alert, which has since been deactivated.

There were 78 operatives on site, supported by 35 vehicles, from the Fire Department, INEM, GNR, PSP and National Maritime Authority.
