This Friday, December 29th, Tavira City Council awarded scholarships to 160 higher education students at the Álvaro de Campos Municipal Library.
Of these, 75 also received a merit grade distinction.
In total, the municipality invested around 289 thousand euros in these grants.
According to the Chamber of Tavira, the objective is «to support students and encourage the continuation of their studies, through the provision of economic aid, as well as the distinction of those who have shown exceptional academic achievement, as a way of rewarding their academic performance».
