Rise in housing prices slows to 7,6% in the third quarter

According to the National Institute of Statistics

The Housing Price Index (IPHab) increased 7,6% in the third quarter, year-on-year, 1,1 percentage points less than in the previous quarter and the smallest increase since the first quarter of 2021, INE announced today.

According to the National Statistics Institute (INE), from July to September, prices for existing homes grew more intensely compared to new homes: 8,1% and 5,8%, respectively.

As a whole, compared to the second quarter, the IPHab increased by 1,8% (3,1% in the previous quarter), with the growth in prices of new housing (2,0%) exceeding that of existing housing (1,8%) .
