Banco de Tempo, supported by the Parish Council and the Loulé City Council, organizes the 1st Quarteira Rice Pudding Competition, to encourage sharing and community spirit and promote traditional Portuguese sweets.
The initiative takes place on December 21st, at 15pm, on Rua Vasco da Gama.
Registration can be made until the 15th, at the Parish Council or at the form online.
The sweets in the competition will be evaluated on their presentation, flavor and texture, with the best three being awarded prizes, with baskets of Christmas products.
«The 1st Rice Pudding Competition is a novelty that we wanted to include in the Christmas entertainment program. More than showing the talent of our community, we want people to have fun and make the most of this season in the best way possible» highlights Telmo Pinto, president of the Quarteira Parish Council.
The mayor also states that the partnership with Banco de Tempo has allowed the creation of initiatives with differentiated value and of interest to the residents of Quarteira.
Participation rules are available at website of the municipality for prior consultation of all interested parties.
