Registration for groups wanting to participate in the Loulé Carnival has until December 29th to register.
Through applications, the aim is to “recruit” those interested in joining groups of pedestrians and float crews who bring color, joy, good cheer and lots of revelry to next year’s parade.
To this end, the municipality created a set of participation rules that aim to define, for example, the limit number of participants per group or the ages of the respective members.
Groups can be informal or with links to organizations (association, club), with priority being given to the latter. The allocation of cars to groups/crews is the responsibility of the organization, through an in-person draw.
The municipality will participate and support the creation of the costumes and accessories that participants will use, in accordance with the general theme and the theme of each of the cars.
It should be noted that 50% of the total value of ticket revenue from the three days of the carnival parade will be shared among organizations (associations, clubs, etc.) that participate in the promotion of the floats.
If the group is not linked to any organization, it must indicate an IPSS in the municipality of Loulé to whom the respective calculated amount will be allocated. If the IPSS indicated is one of the participants in the race, the Municipality will request the nomination of another IPSS from the municipality of Loulé.
