Six people were left homeless after a fire, this Friday, December 15th, in the apartment where they lived, on Rua da Mónica, in Quarteira.
The alert was given at 12:01 pm.
The fire happened in an apartment on the ground floor and the causes “are still unknown”, he said, to Sul Informação, source of the Algarve Regional Emergency and Civil Protection Command.
The six people have already been relocated by Loulé City Council's social services.
There were 16 operatives on site, supported by 7 vehicles, from the Loulé Fire Department and GNR.
Fighting the flames, a firefighter was seriously injured and was taken to the Loulé Health Center.
