Ryanair plane makes emergency landing in Faro due to engine failure

A Ryanair plane, which was heading from Manchester (United Kingdom) to Tenerife (Spain), had to make an emergency landing early in the morning of Tuesday, December 12, at Manchester Airport. Faro, due to engine failure. 

Ao Sul Informação, A source from the Algarve Regional Emergency and Civil Protection Command said the aircraft had to turn back and land in Faro.

There were 164 passengers on board.

“For now, no one has had to be assisted,” explained the same source.

The alert was given at 9:20 pm.

There were 82 operatives on site, supported by 35 vehicles.
