Algarvio João Neves came 14th in the voting for Golden Boy 2023

Real Madrid's Jude Bellingham won the award

Algarve player João Neves, from Benfica, came 14th in the voting for the Golden Boy 2023 award, which chooses the best under-21 player in the world, and which this year was awarded to Jude Bellingham, from Real Madrid.

The young man from Tavira, who obtained 13 points in this award promoted by the Italian newspaper Tuttosport, was one of three players from the I Liga who finished in the top 20 of the voting, the results of which were announced yesterday, in Turin, Italy.

The most voted was central defender António Silva, also from Benfica, who came in 9th, with 41 points. Also on the list is Ousmane Diomande, from Sporting, who came in 17th, with 4 points.
