Urgent challenges of climate action are the topic of an adapt.local seminar in Lagos

The day before, the 5th General Assembly of the Association also took place in Lagos

The association adapt.local – Network of Municipalities for Local Adaptation to Climate Change will hold, on the 24th of November, its 7th Annual Seminar adapt.local.23, which will take place in Lagos, at the Hotel Vila Galé.

This seminar, dedicated to the challenges of climate action and in continuation of the joint work that has been carried out by its 41 members, including almost 30 municipalities, will feature the active presence of several experts in adaptation to climate change.

Together with municipal officials and technicians from across the country, they will address a wide range of key themes: climate adaptation and local political challenges; the “National Climate Adaptation Roadmap XXI”; climate change and challenges for tourism; natural-based solutions and disaster risk reduction in the context of climate change.

The day before the seminar, November 23rd, the 5th General Assembly of the Association will also take place in Lagos, bringing together members of the Mainland and Islands – municipalities, companies, associations and academic institutions – who will address the adapt.local activities carried out in 2023, the prospects for 2024 and will choose the location for the next annual adapt.local.24 seminar.
