Suspect in Maddie's death will be tried in Germany for other crimes

For five other sexual crimes and offenses, committed between 2000 and 2017 in Portugal

The German suspect in the death of British girl Madeleine McCann will be tried in Germany for five other crimes and sexual offenses, committed between 2000 and 2017 in Portugal, the Brunswick court announced today.

Currently detained in Germany, the suspect will be responsible from February 16th for three alleged rapes and two sexual abuse of children, at a time when the investigation into his involvement in the disappearance of little Maddie remains ongoing.

A month ago, the Portuguese Judicial Police clarified that, in the investigation into the disappearance of the English child, in the Algarve, in 2007, steps continue to be taken, aiming to clarify the situation, and that contacts were made with Madeleine McCann's relatives.
