The Municipality of Lagoa will promote another “Bird Watching Walk” on Saturday, November 25th, at 09:00 am, in partnership with the “A Rocha” Association. The guide will be Guillaume Rethore from that association.
The objective is to observe the wintering species present in the Arade River estuary and, with a little luck, some of those that, belatedly, are now leaving south, in search of climates with milder winters.
This activity is intended to motivate participants to observe birds and raise awareness of the importance of conserving migratory birds and their habitats.
The meeting point will be the picnic area of the Sítio das Fontes Municipal Park (37.161949, -8.485818), where there will be a little conversation before the group heads to the Rosário rice fields (37.165590, -8.486666).
