“It’s not enough to adopt, you have to take care”, warns Tavira

Municipality launches campaign within the scope of the Municipal Animal Welfare and Protection Plan

“It’s not enough to adopt, you have to take care” is the name of the campaign launched by Tavira Council within the scope of the Municipal Animal Welfare and Protection Plan.

This initiative aims to alert and raise awareness among the population about the condition, well-being and protection of animals, with a special focus on the issue of animal abuse and abandonment, remembering that “Adoption without care is a disguised crime”.

As part of this campaign, a video was made and various communication and information materials were developed, such as billboards, billboards and publications on social media. In this context, a campaign brochure was also developed with useful information for the general population and the manual “I adopted and now?”, to support anyone who has recently adopted a companion animal.

The campaign video features a young actor from Tavira who joined the dog Brown, the latter still in the care of the Municipality of Tavira as he has been waiting, for around six years, for a family to adopt him responsibly.
