“Full-scale” exercise tests emergency response capacity at the Airport of Faro

ANA Aeroporto warns that there will be a large movement of relief and emergency vehicles

A “full-scale emergency exercise” will test emergency response at Gago Coutinho Airport, in Faro, during the night of November 14th, between 20:30 pm and 00:30 am.

This exercise, which will take place throughout the airport perimeter, «is aligned with the recommendations of EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency), with regard to carrying out exercises, specifically the efficient coordination of internal and external resources in security operations. assistance in responding to the emergency», according to ANA Aeroportos.

In this exercise, «the emergency resources provided for in the Gago Coutinho Airport Emergency Plan will be activated – Faro, with the expected movement of rescue and emergency vehicles, which will circulate with the respective audible and visual emergency signals».

«Thus, we inform the community surrounding Gago Coutinho airport – Faro that this movement is due to the operation of a simulacrum», warns ANA Aeroportos.
