This Christmas, Mar Shopping will be the “sweetest” space in the south of the country

“Candyland Christmas” arrives with lots of fun for kids and adults

Reindeer, snow, Christmas carols and the approaching sleigh in the sky. Ho Ho Ho! It's the most magical time of the year that is coming and MAR Shopping Algarve has become the sweetest and most desirable village in the south of the country, with the CandylandChristmas.

In the sweet little house, which itself looks like a cupcake, the old man with a white beard will be with his helpers, snowmen, teddy bears and squirrels, waiting for the little ones to leave their letters with the most original and creative requests. He will also be accompanied by Candy Dancers and Mother Christmas, the latter of whom will welcome visitors with her Christmas voice, performing Christmas songs.

Full of appetizing lollipops decorated with lights, CandylandChristmas – Christmas Village, from MAR Shopping Algarve is a playful journey into the imagination and the world of dreams, where visitors can find the candy factory with three pastry elves; the studio area with creative workshops, with the particularity of the benches and tables being covered with sweets, where the youngest can give free rein to their creativity and the usual sustainable skating rink, which in addition to providing joy and fun for the little ones, It has a strong ecological component, respecting the environment and sustainability values, promoting the reduction of the ecological footprint with 0% water and electricity consumption.

According to Ana Antunes, director of MAR Shopping Algarve, the CandylandChristmas “was designed to offer the best immersive experience during the Christmas season, a space full of light, color, music and lots of animation, offering visitors a space to create “sweet” and Christmassy memories to share with family and friends, transforming thus MAR Shopping Algarve in a true Christmas Meeting Place, as has been customary in previous years”.

On December 3rd, at 16pm, the CandylandChristmas will receive story time, “Noa and the Adventure of Listening with the Heart”, by author Cláudia Carrilho, who will be present.

This is the story of a boy who decides to open his heart to live a great adventure. Noa faces challenges, but has the support of his cousin Bruno, who is his best friend and also has a creative mind and a fast wheelchair. A tale for the whole family, in which the youngest will discover how friendships are true treasures and accompany the protagonists on this exciting journey.

Christmas is always the perfect time to support noble causes and when this happens, through a donation to help the little ones, the Christmas spirit gains even greater dimension and symbolism.

This year MAR Shopping Algarve joins the Make-A-Wish Portugal, to together fulfill the wishes of seriously ill children and young people. Aiming to raise 2.500 euros, the campaign runs from November 18th to January 7th, with visitors to MAR Shopping Algarve being able to make their donation, using the QR CODE available in the commercial space.

On the other hand, this Christmas season there is a solidarity pantry initiative that aims, until December 22nd, for visitors to contribute food or other essential goods to needy families in the Algarve.

Donations go to families supported by the following institutions: Refoof Almacil, GATO, Aninal Rescue Algarve and Cruz Vermelha.

The Solidarity Wardrobe action also takes place at this time with the collection of warm clothes, blankets and blankets to warm vulnerable communities during the winter, with the support of the Donated Goods Bank of the Entrajuda Association.

Visitors to MAR Shopping Algarve can also get their Christmas gift wrapping service at the solidarity wrapping counter and, at the same time, support the different non-profit organizations whose volunteers will be on site.

For Ana Antunes, director of MAR Shopping Algarve, “we are committed to promoting the diversification of industry standards, prioritizing sustainability and circularity. For us, these initiatives represent the way we take care of our planet, but especially the people around us. It is our contribution to the communities in which we operate.”
