The Management Authority of the CRESC Algarve 2020 Regional Operational Program maintains «the objective of fully implementing the 318,7 million European funds allocated to the Algarve», the Algarve Regional Coordination and Development Commission (CCDR) said today.
After reinforcing contacts and insistence with beneficiaries, Municipalities, public entities, the social sector and companies with a view to concluding approved applications, in execution or in final expenditure verification procedures, the Program Management Authority reveals that in the measures or axes still to be completed to ensure the full implementation of the Program, the highlights are “climate transition projects under the responsibility of the Municipalities, investments in energy efficiency and cycle paths, still with 9,3 million in expenditure (which corresponds to 5,8 million in the fund) to be executed and submitted by next December».
Likewise in axis 1 and 2, in the measures of competitiveness and innovation, of support for companies, the CCDR says that it continues the work of monitoring and monitoring projects in progress and in completion with the verification and audit of project closure.
«The expectation is that an increase of 10 million will still be considered in execution, in addition to the final verification processes already submitted and being analyzed by the various Intermediate Bodies».
In Health, the Algarve Regional Program Management Authority defined the objective of financing research centers and improving the responses of technological equipment that qualify and empower the Region, with emphasis on the Algarve Biomedical Center (ABC) and technological equipment and infrastructure at the Algarve University Hospital Center (CHUA).
In a note, the CCDR reiterates that «under regulatory terms, all payments of invoices included in the CRESC Algarve 2020 Program must be made without delay by next December».
The CRESC Algarve 2020 Regional Operational Program reached an 87,34% execution rate at the end of October, with 278 million executed and an investment of around 428 million.
