Five people, four of Czech nationality and one German, had to be helped on the afternoon of this Sunday, November 5th, after being “surprised by the waves”, in Algar Seco, in Carvoeiro (Lagoa). One of them was seriously injured.
The alert was given at 14:30 pm, stating that this accident had occurred “with several people”.
Upon arrival at the scene, where elements from INEM, the Lagoa Volunteer Firefighters and the GNR were already present, it was found that one of the five victims was seriously injured, having been helped and stabilized by the Lagoa Volunteer Firefighters and INEM.
The victim ended up being transported to the hospital by INEM.
The remaining people were also taken to the hospital, but, as they had minor injuries, they were transported by the Lagoa Fire Department.
The local command of the Portimão Maritime Police took charge of the incident and isolated the area.
