Rita Cardoso, athlete from Ginástica Clube de Loulé, became tumbling world champion this Saturday, November 18, in Birmingham, United Kingdom.

The athlete, who competed in the 11 – 12 age group, came first with 22.100 points.

In a note published on the social network Facebook, Loulé City Council congratulated the athlete and her coach Veronica Paulo on winning this award.

«Another success and pride for Loulé», also wrote Vítor Aleixo, mayor of Loulé.
