Algarve promotes its creative and nature tourism in Valladolid

From tomorrow until Sunday

The Algarve will promote its creative and nature tourism offer at INTUR – International Inland Tourism Fair, which takes place in Valladolid, the capital of the Autonomous Community of Castilla and León, in Spain, starting tomorrow, the 16th, until Sunday the 19th.

In addition to the Algarve Tourism Region, the Algarve delegation includes the municipalities of Lagos, Portimão, Albufeira, Loulé, Tavira and Vila Real de Santo António, in a space where, daily, there will be gastronomic demonstrations based on the Mediterranean Diet.

Dedicated to Nature, Culture and Enogastronomy, INTUR expects to receive more than 30 thousand visitors.

«The Algarve represents, in all its splendor, the Mediterranean Diet rooted in ancient traditions and customs passed down from generation to generation and which today constitute a rich gastronomic and cultural heritage that complements the destination's offer of Sun and Sea. We want to open the doors to the interior of the Algarve and for our visitors to be surprised by the charming villages of the Algarve mountains, the green landscapes, the traditions and hospitality of our people» declares the president of Turismo do Algarve, André Gomes.

One of the Algarve's bets for the Spanish market is creative tourism, through which travelers can experience the destination while being part of it.

«An example of this are the Algarve Craft & Food experiences, offered in a vast catalog of activities related to gastronomy, agri-food products and local crafts, enhancing the interior of the Algarve territory and showcasing a unique and different region», says the RTA.

The Spanish market, due to its proximity, «assumes increased relevance for the Algarve, representing, until August this year, more than 250 thousand guests and around 700 thousand overnight stays in the destination's tourist accommodation».
