Albufeira promotes session on Via Algarviana Partner Network

On the 23th of November, between 15 am and 00 pm

The Almargem Association and the Municipality of Albufeira will present an information session about the Via Algarviana Certified Partner Network, on the 23rd of November, from 15:00 pm to 17:00 pm, at the Lídia Jorge Municipal Library.

As part of this session, the Albufeira Chamber invites everyone who has a business linked to tourism to learn about the opportunities that the Via Algarviana Certified Partner Network has to offer.

To participate, simply send an email to [email protected]. The sessions are in person and require prior registration, but are free to attend.

Anyone who is unable to participate in this session, but is interested in learning about the project, can send an email to Associação Almargem.

In a statement, Albufeira City Council highlights that every year the GR13 – Via Algarviana brings thousands of walkers and cyclists to the interior of the Algarve.

«The objective of the network is to work with entrepreneurs who provide services in the “Território Via Algarviana” to guarantee a quality service, promoting the economy and sustainability of the interior».

Almargem states that «through the means at our disposal such as: the website, the application, social networks, our newsletter, presence at tourism fairs» that enable the promotion of partners that are relevant to walkers and cyclists who travel the Via Algarviana .

Services can be in the areas of catering, accommodation, transport, tourist entertainment, experiences (gastronomy, crafts, among others) and complementary services.

The mayor of Albufeira, whose municipality is a certified partner of Via Algarviana, emphasizes that «the Algarve is not just sun and beaches and that it is increasingly important to diversify the tourist product».

José Carlos Rolo believes that the initiative has “enormous potential to boost the economy
and settle the populations of the interior, with added advantages for businesspeople, the population and municipalities
involved'.
