An elderly couple was left homeless this Tuesday, October 17th, after a strong gust of wind destroyed the roof of their house in the Choça Queimada area, parish of Odeleite, municipality of Castro Marim.
The alert was given at 10:20 am and, according to a source from the Regional Emergency and Civil Protection Command, there were two other homes affected, but there is no record of more people being displaced.
The elderly, aged 94 and 87, were sent to their family's home.
There were 13 operatives supported by seven vehicles on site.
