The Municipality of Silves will, between the 10th of October and the 20th of November, carry out actions to try to eliminate rats and cockroaches in the parishes of the municipality.
In the parish of Armação de Pêra the action takes place on the 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th, 16th and 17th of October, in Pêra it is on the 18th, 19th and 20th of October and in Alcantarilha on the 23rd, 24th and 25th of October.
In Algoz, the action takes place on the 26th, 27th and 30th of this month and in Tunes on the 31st, 2nd and 3rd of November.
The parish of Silves receives the action on the 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th and 13th of November, the parish of São Bartolomeu de Messines on the 14th, 15th, 16th and 17th of November and the parish of São Marcos da Serra on the 20th of November .
To make this type of action more effective, the Municipality of Silves advises private entities (such as condominiums, building owners, commercial establishments and the like) to also carry out this disinfestation service, "contributing, in this way, to the strengthening and safeguarding public health and controlling and reducing exposure to urban pests”.
