Promise contracts for the purchase and sale of houses in the first phase of the Olhão City Council's controlled-cost housing project began to be signed this Tuesday, with a view to the first families entering their new homes «at the beginning of the next year", announced the municipality of Olhão.

The first four contracts to be signed “all concern T4 apartments, which were sold for values ​​between 96 and 125 thousand euros”, located on Rua António Henrique Cabrita, in the parish of Quelfes.

«The allocation of homes under a sales regime at costs controlled by the City Council was carried out through a lottery competition procedure. In total, in this first phase, 26 T2 apartments, 18 T3 apartments and 10 T4 apartments were allocated, in a total of 54 homes, distributed across three blocks», according to Olhão City Council.

All of these homes in this first phase of housing construction at controlled costs are in the same location as the four houses whose contracts have already been signed.

The second phase, which includes the construction of a further 288 housing units and 30 commercial spaces, will be built on the land of the former Litografia, on Avenida Sporting Clube Olhanense.

«With this investment, we are creating conditions that provide everyone with the possibility of purchasing their home at reasonable costs, which fit within family budgets», said António Miguel Pina at the signing ceremony of the first purchase and sale contracts. , president of the Chamber of Olhão.

«The construction of housing at controlled costs is a goal of this executive. This first phase resulted in an architectural complex that we should all be proud of", added the mayor, who assured that, "of the projects I have developed since taking over this municipality, this is, perhaps, the one I am most proud of".
