The Bird Watching & Nature Activities Festival, the biggest event dedicated to birds and nature in our country, starts tomorrow, October 5th. Until Sunday, the 8th, hundreds of people will head to Sagres to discover the nature of the region and, in particular, the autumn migration of birds.

In this 14th edition, the Festival program includes more than 200 activities, many of them free, from boat trips to observe birds, dolphins, caves and cliffs, to photography, painting and illustration workshops, including kayaking, cycling and foot, without neglecting the games and challenges for the youngest.

The program is available online at www.birdwatchingsagres.com, and although there are already sold out activities, there is still plenty to choose from.

To participate, simply go to Forte do Beliche, in Sagres, sign up for the desired activities and obtain the participant bracelet which, in addition to entry to the activities, entitles you to free entry to the Fortaleza de Sagres, at the Ermida de Nossa Senhora de Guadalupe and also discounts at partners such as restaurants and accommodation.

Taking place all over the Sagres peninsula, the Bird Watching & Nature Activities Festival program also invites participants to discover the Sudoeste Alentejano e Costa Vicentina Natural Park.

The event is organized once again by Vila do Bispo City Council, in partnership with the Portuguese Society for the Study of Birds (SPEA) and the Almargem Association. The 14th edition of the Bird Watching & Nature Activities Festival is sponsored by Ventient Energy Services, SA and Intermarché de Sagres.
