Lídia Jorge receives Grand Prize for Novel and Soap Opera

The session will be chaired by Pedro Adão e Silva, Minister of Culture

Next Thursday, October 26th, from 18:30 pm, Algarve writer Lídia Jorge will receive the Grand Prize for Novel and Soap Opera from the Portuguese Writers Association (APE/DGLAB), in a ceremony in room 2 of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, in Lisbon, for the book “Misericordia”. 

Lídia Jorge wins, for the second time, the Grand Prize for Novel and Novel APE/DGLAB ‒ 2022, established in 1982, and had in this 41st edition, the following sponsorships: General Directorate of Books, Archives and Libraries, Chamber Grândola Municipal Council, Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and Camões Institute.

The prize, currently worth 15 thousand euros, was coordinated by the jury, José Manuel de Vasconcelos and was made up of Isabel Cristina Rodrigues, Maria de Lurdes Sampaio, Mário Avelar, Paula Mendes Coelho and Salvato Teles de Menezes.
