Kartódromo Internacional do Algarve is the stage for the IAME world finals

There are 34 Portuguese drivers on the track

The Kartódromo Internacional do Algarve, in the interior of the municipality of Portimão, is at the center of attention in the karting world, until Saturday, October 28th.

Stage of the IAME world finals, the circuit next to the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve welcomes almost 400 drivers from all over the world throughout the week for what is the great final party promoted by the renowned Italian karting engine manufacturer, IAME.

Coming from the four corners of the planet and in a delegation of close to 4000 foreigners who have settled in Portimão since last weekend, the approximately four dozen riders occupy the 1530 meters perimeter of the Algarve route throughout the week.

The decisive finals will take place on Saturday – October 28th – at the culmination of a week of intense activity on the track with various training sessions – free and timed – and the various qualifying heats, to be held starting this Wednesday , Day 25.

On the track, there will be four different categories: X30 Mini with 112 registered drivers; X30 Junior with 97 attendances; X30 Senior with 138 registered and X30 Master.

There will be 43 competitors expressing their desire to take part in the competition, all of them promising total commitment and great moments of competition on one of the most challenging tracks on European soil, recognized for its balance between fast and slow zones that refine piloting and demand the maximum of pilots and machines.

In the immense platoon that completely fills the paddock at the Kartódromo Internacional do Algarve, the Portuguese colors will be defended by 34 drivers, divided between the four categories in competition.

17 will be the defenders of Portuguese armada among the X30 Senior drivers, with the defense of honor Portuguese to Miguel Silva, Afonso Barata, Rafael Rajani, Martim Romão, Henrique Oliveira, João Dinis, Pedro Cachada, Diogo Castro, Santiago Ribeiro, Frederico Peters, Francisca Queiroz, Francisco Macedo, David Gonçalves, Filipe Rodrigues, Tomás Teixeira, Diogo Pinto and Max Radeck, the latter making his debut in the class.

Among the Juniors, there will be seven riders wearing the colors of Portugal: Santiago Alves, Afonso Azevedo, Gabriela Teixeira, Martim Meneses, Tomás Gomes, Bernardo Pinto and Martim Marques.

In the X30 Mini, Portugal also has seven drivers competing: Jan Rodrigues, Vicente Capela, Guilherme Morgado, Afonso Lopes, Gustavo da Silva, Francisco Correia and Romeu Mello.

In the Masters, there will be three drivers of the House: Pedro Paxiuta de Paiva, Rui Chagas and Tiago Gonçalves.
