A 55-year-old foreign man, who had 10 kilos of hashish hidden in different parts of his body, was detained at the airport of Faro, when he was preparing to embark for the United Kingdom, the Judiciary Police (PJ) announced this Thursday, October 19th.
«The arrest occurred following intervention by the PJ, at the Airport of Faro», says this police force.
The suspect, with a police and judicial record for violent crimes and drug trafficking, “was preparing to travel alone, concealing several packages distributed across different parts of his body,” says the PJ.
The police action resulted in the seizure of 10 kilos of hashish and money in UK bank notes.
The man was remanded in custody.
