The Albufeira Free Trade Fair is back, between November 29th and December 3rd, and for the first time it will take place at the Marina.

After a three-year hiatus, the Municipality of Albufeira wanted to return to this event where clothes, footwear, household items, toys are sold, and entertainment spaces are available, such as carousels and bumper car tracks. Furthermore, there will be plenty of food, churros, cotton candy, snacks, honey, dried fruits and other local products.

According to José Carlos Rolo, president of Albufeira City Council, this Fair attracts thousands of visitors. «The first Albufeira Free Market took place in the XNUMXth century, in the square of the Church of São Sebastião, and was very popular because it exempted stallholders from taxes, as is the case today», recalls the mayor.

Ricardo Clemente, councilor responsible for Fairs and Markets, confesses to being very expectant about the Fair being held this year. «I believe that both traders and visitors will be very satisfied,
because the place has all the conditions for everything to go well, to increase the affluence and satisfaction of those who
visit the event».

In recent years, the fair has been held on the ground next to the bus terminal.
