The Dr. Francisco Fernandes Lopes Secondary School, in Olhão, hosts, at 11:14 am on the 14th of November, the main event of the nationwide Public Exercise on Seismic Risk Awareness, called The Earth Trembles, a measure provided for in the National Strategy for Preventive Civil Protection.
Promoted by the National Emergency and Civil Protection Authority (ANEPC), the objective of A Terra Treme is “to enable the population to know how to act in the event of an earthquake, raising awareness of the fact that they live in a risk society, and challenging them to get involved in the process of building safer and more resilient communities».
Furthermore, this year, the main (national) event will take place at Escola Secundária Dr. Francisco Fernandes Lopes, in Olhão.
