Contemporary dance, performances, workshops, a video-dance show and a photography exhibition are some of the ingredients of the “Entrelaçados – Festival de Dança Contemporânea” festival, which will take place largely in Portimão, but which will also have passages in Lagos and Lagoa, from October 27th to December 15th.
The initiative, promoted by Associação Cultural Dancenema and which involves various arts, from dance to photography, including circus, performance, theater or music, among others, has 12 artistic moments, led by professionals of national and international reference, as well as renowned companies, but also by young artists.
The pre-opening will take place at 21pm on October 00th, at the Black Box at TEMPO – Teatro Municipal de Portimão, with the contemporary dance piece “Fodam-me tudo não o coração!”, performed by the choreographer and dancer from Portimão Maurícia Barreira Neves .
On October 28th, Casa Manuel Teixeira Gomes will host the official opening of the festival at 16:30 pm, with the inauguration of the photographic exhibition “Algarve, Dança e Arte”, which will be followed by the video dance exhibition “Milho-Rei” and wine tasting.
Before, at around 15pm, Alameda da República will be the stage for the new circus show “La Trottola”, starring acrobats Clara and José, from Companhia Depáso, who on the following day, October 00th, will be responsible for an aerial acrobatics workshop , which will take place between 29am and 10pm at the Pavilhão Gimnodesportivo de Portimão.
On the night of October 31st, from 20pm onwards, the Faina restaurant, next to the Portimão Museum, will host the “Café-Performance” initiative, a themed dinner with artistic interventions, in which musicians and dancers will present their performing arts with the Halloween theme.
The program continues on November 2nd, when TEMPO's Black Box hosts the “Tutti-Frutti” workshop on composition, theater and voice from 18pm to 00pm, led by Maurícia Barreira Neves.
On the 4th of November, at 21pm, the TEMPO Grand Auditorium hosts the contemporary dance show “Ser Animal Humano”, with a performance by Sofia Brito, while the cinema will dominate the attention on the 00th, through the video-dance show with several authors, to be shown at 8pm at Casa Manuel Teixeira Gomes.
Next, on November 10th, between 19:30 pm and 21:30 pm, a workshop on contemporary dance will take place at Casa das Artes, guided by Bruno Duarte, from Companhia de Dança de Almada.
Finally, and as an extension to the sixth edition of the “Entrelaçados” festival, the auditorium of the Museu de Portimão will host on the night of December 15th, from 21pm, the contemporary dance show “Mostra Coreográfica Solos e Duetos”, created by several authors.
