“Diário de Bordo”: Albufeirense launches its 4th book of poetry

Book will be presented on October 21st at the Lídia Jorge Municipal Library

Roberto Leandro, born in Albufeira, launches his 4th book of poetry, «Diário de Bordo», on October 21st, at 16pm, at the Lídia Jorge Municipal Library, in Albufeira.

The work, which includes references to the region and a poem written in Algarve, will be presented at an event that will feature musical notes, recitations and other surprises.

The chosen title is in line with the geographical, philosophical and emotional journey that the author has taken, with the work being divided into five thematic sections: À Minha Beira, inspired by the Beira municipality of Pedrógão Grande, where his parents are from; Ouro Sob Azul, dedicated to the Algarve, where he was born and lives; Pecado Capital, about Lisbon, the city that welcomed the first years of adulthood; Arrebentação, where love poems are grouped and, in the last section, Terra à Vista: the critical, satirical look at society, so characteristic of the author.

«After several years of postponing this project, I managed to bring together an excellent team that made it possible to make a unique book come true», says Roberto Leandro about the book, prefaced by director Paulo Moreira and conceived by the creative design and communication agency Crochet, also based in Algarve.

In addition to Albufeira, the work will be presented in Pedrógão Grande and Lisbon, in a tour that follows the young Algarve's life path.
