The rain and wind that occurred on the afternoon of this Sunday, October 22nd, forced the interruption of the game between Moncarapachense and Vitória Sport Clube, in the 3rd round of the Portuguese Cup, which was being played at the Algarve Stadium.
The match, which started at 15pm, lasted half an hour.
At the 31st minute, referee Tiago Martins interrupted the match due to lack of conditions, as the ball was not rolling on the pitch.
Furthermore, the game wasn't even going well for Moncarapachense, who already lost by three, thanks to goals from Tomás Ribeiro (14′), Tomás Handel (21′) and Jota Silva (26′).
According to the regulations, the referee will have to wait 30 minutes and then assess whether there are conditions to resume the match.
The Algarve is currently suffering from the Bernard Depression, which caused the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) to place the entire region under red warning.
