CCDR will listen to Algarvians about the metrobus

According to the route presented, the metrobus will have 24 stops, and will connect the center of Loulé to Olhão Station

The Algarve Regional Coordination and Development Commission (CCDR) will carry out surveys of residents in the municipalities of Faro, Olhão and Loulé, to students and employees of the University of Algarve and the Airport of Faro sobre or metrobus project. 

This is a project promoted by CCDR Algarve, in partnership with the Municipalities of Faro, Loulé and Olhão, the Algarve Intermunicipal Community (AMAL), the University of Algarve (UAlg), ANA- Gago Coutinho Airport (Faro) and the Algarve Tourism Region (RTA).

Considered a priority in the Algarve 2030 Regional Program, the planned project has a preliminary length of approximately 38 kilometers and will serve around 150 thousand residents, uniting Olhão-Faro-Airport-University of Algarve (Campus de Gambelas)-Parque das Cidade-Loulé.

According to the route presented, the metrobus will have 24 stops, and will connect the center of Loulé to Olhão Station, with passages in the city of Faro, at the Airport, in both fields Farenses at the University of Algarve and in Parque das Cidades.

All of this, on 100% dedicated lines, with frequencies every 12 minutes, during rush hour, and during extended hours.
