The City Council of Silves offered a heavy vehicle with tongs and two pick-up vans to the Parish Councils of Armação de Pêra and São Bartolomeu de Messines and the Union of Parishes of Alcantarilha/Pêra, destined for urban cleaning and hygiene, at a value that amounted to 200 thousand euros.
The investment by the Municipality of Silves «represents an additional reinforcement to the Transfer Autos and Interadministrative Contracts for Delegation of Competencies that were established for the 2022-2025 municipal mandate (1 million and 415 thousand euros for the year 2024), giving better conditions to parishes to provide urban cleaning and hygiene services and waste collection», according to the municipality.
This investment “is part of a broader package that included the offer of 3 more vehicles, with a total value of 370 thousand euros”.
