Just over half an hour of intense rain caused chaos on the streets of Faro, this Tuesday morning, with roads and areas of the city flooded, some transformed into “river banks”, and strong traffic restrictions.
Contacted by Sul Informação, the Regional Emergency and Civil Protection Command of Faro revealed that the phenomenon was located in Faro and which lasted “about half an hour”.
«We have recorded 8 or 9 incidents here, mostly related to flooded roads. There may, eventually, be some garages that have taken on water», revealed the CREPC.
Our newspaper received several reports of flooded streets and flooded low-lying areas, in some cases with partially submerged cars.
Also at the airport of Faro there were several flooded areas.
