Algarvio João Neves makes his debut in the national team squad

The midfielder will join another Algarve player also called up: Gonçalo Ramos from Olhão

Algarvian João Neves, born in Tavira, was, for the first time, called up to the national A football team, for the games against Slovakia (13th October) and Bosnia (16th). 

The young Benfica player was the big news in Roberto Martínez's squad, announced this Friday, October 6th.

João Neves (19 years old) has been one of the Reds' best players at the start of the season and is now looking at his first A cap for Portugal.

The midfielder will join another Algarve player also called up: Gonçalo Ramos from Olhão, who currently plays for PSG (France).

Portugal will play against Slovakia, on the 13th of October, in Porto, before traveling to Bosnia on the 16th.
