723 infractions and 160 accidents recorded in the last week in the Algarve

Data on operations between September 25th and October 1st were released today

The GNR recorded, between September 25th and October 1st, 723 infractions and 160 accidents in the district of Faro. 

Data from operations aimed at preventing and combating violent crime, road inspection, among others, were released this Monday and also show 50 arrests and more than 100 doses of drugs seized. 

Of the infractions, 76 were due to excessive speed, 39 were related to anomalies in lighting and signaling systems, 34 were due to lack of mandatory periodic inspection, 20 were due to improper use of a cell phone while driving, 16 were due to lack of or incorrect use of a seat belt. safety and/or child restraint system and 12 due to lack of civil liability insurance.

The accidents resulted in three serious injuries and 28 minor injuries.

The arrests occurred for driving without a legal license (20), driving under the influence of alcohol (19) and drug trafficking (6). 

106 doses of hashish were also seized, 22 of heroin and 61 of cocaine.
