Silves welcomes truck that screens for heart failure

Screenings can be done from 8:30 am to 18:30 pm

A truck, which screens for heart failure, is parked until this Thursday, September 14th, at the Parque das Piscinas Municipais de Silves.

The study, promoted by the Portuguese Society of Cardiology (SPC) and AstraZeneca, in partnership with Nova Medical School – Faculty of Medical Sciences, aims to assess the prevalence of the disease in Portugal and contribute to the definition of health policies capable of addressing the existing real needs.

Screenings can be done from 8:30 am to 18:30 pm.

The truck is properly equipped with technical and human resources, where some medical examinations are carried out, from blood collections to electrocardiograms and echocardiograms.
