Ricardo Filipe and Miguel Luz, driving a Ford Fiesta R5, won the Albufeira Municipal Rally that took place this weekend, 9th and 10th September.
The pair achieved the absolute best time (42:51,8 minutes). In second place was the duo Fernando Teotónio and Luís Morgadinho, in a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX, with 13,7 seconds more.
Third placed were Rui Rijo and Rui Serra, in a Mitshubishi Lancer Evo VIII, with 38,1 seconds more.
The race, which is an initiative of the Clube Automóvel do Sul with support from the Municipality, under the aegis of the Portuguese Automobile and Karting Federation, scores points for the Start Sul Rally Championship, Promo Rally Championship, 6th Khumo Asfalto and Sul Challenge and Extra Rally.
On Saturday, the 9th, the night was marked by the Super Special Night phase, which took place on Avenida dos Descobrimentos, between the intersection of the Albufeira Volunteer Fire Department and the Rotunda dos Relógios.
The moment, which brought together thousands of spectators, included competitions and the usual demonstrations of drfits and acrobatics. On the last day of the competition, yesterday, the 10th, the competition took place in the parishes of Ferreiras, Guia and Paderne.
