The University of Algarve begins the new academic year with a welcome session for new students, which will take place next Monday, September 18th, at 8:45 am, at the Pavilhão Municipal da Penha, in Faro.
The ceremony begins with speeches by the mayor of Faro Rogério Bacalhau, followed by the president of the Academic Association Fábio Zacarias, and the rector of the University of Algarve Paulo Águas, who will close the session.
In addition to welcoming new national and international students, the initiative also aims to contribute to their full integration, not only into university life, but also into the city and region that welcomes them.
The session will also feature a performance by singer-songwriter Marta Lima.
