Lagoa City Council redeveloped the playground in Bairro da Boa Vontade, in Mexilhoeira da Carregação, as well as the floors of other playgrounds in the municipality, in an investment of around 80 thousand euros.
In the case of the Bairro da Boa Vontade Children's Park, the existing floor was replaced, two new pieces of equipment were installed and other existing equipment was repaired.
In addition to this requalification, the Municipality replaced several floors of existing playgrounds in the municipality, such as the playground at Quinta de S. Pedro, the playground at Jardim de Infância de Estômbar, the playground at EB1 in Porches, the playground at EB1 in Parchal and the children's playground in EB1 in Ferragudo.
«The Bairro da Boa Vontade playground, which is located in a residential area, was no longer in the best conditions for safe use and required intervention by the Municipality of Lagoa», says the Chamber.
